Cory joined the Association’s executive staff in 2004 in the Member Services program area. He had a split Member Services/Teacher Welfare assignment from 2007–2010. Cory returned to Member Services full-time in 2010. In 2015 Cory was assigned a portfolio across the organization, with his primary assignment in Teacher Welfare. Cory holds a BEd degree from the University of Manitoba and a MEd degree from the University of Prince Edward Island.

Prior to joining the Association, Cory was a principal in Peace River School Division, where he served several roles on his local including TWC and NSC chair. Provincially he served as a Teacher Welfare Liaison. Cory has assignments in other program areas across the Association. Previously, Cory has served as the Association’s lead investigator in professional conduct investigations. He is currently the staff advisor to the Outreach Education Council, the Association’s parliamentarian at representative assemblies and on general inquiries and serves on the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education.
