Strathcona County Art Gallery@501

Strathcona County Art Gallery@501 offers creative, cross-curricular connected programming for preschool to grade 12 at our public art gallery in Sherwood Park. With interactive gallery tours and hands-on studio projects connected to exhibitions, our gallery offers students an exciting opportunity to build visual communication skills in an engaging environment. Field trips to Gallery@501 can also include visits to the Strathcona County Library, Council Chambers, Public Art, Permanent Art Collection, and a host of fun multi-sensory learning activities, such as "Art Scavenger Hunt" and "Acting Out Art". Teachers come back each year for our quality programming, our experienced instructors, and the value they receive in each fully customized, creative program. For the 2017/18 school year we are pleased to once again offer a bus subsidy to Elk Island Public and Catholic Schools, sponsored by the Festival Place Cultural Arts Foundation.
