The Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta (LDAA) is a non-profit charitable organization of parents and professionals. LDAA focuses its efforts on enhancing overall awareness and understanding of learning disabilities and the many challenges individuals and families face throughout their lives. Of specific noted it our Right to Read program which is designed to screen all K-1 children for their readiness to read and offers interventions for the areas of weakness that may become an impediment to reading. Children who fail to progress after active involvement in the program may be at risk for a learning disability and may then be flagged in the earliest grades for further testing.
