Edmonton is a frozen tundra for 6 months of the year, but that doesn’t stop us! We put the term #weatherproof to the test with temperatures going as low as -30C. If you can handle the weather, you earn one of our badges of honour. We don’t just enjoy cold mornings, we also start at 6am, because we’re just that badass. Back in early 2013 the tribe was built in Edmonton by the Oilers’ Andrew Ference. Within a few weeks he put the responsibility on his sister Jen Ference (the Assistant Principal at Fort Saskatchewan High School) and a random dude who liked to play outside who goes by Nadim Chin. Rain or shine or freeze or -1000 below zero, these folks are waiting for you. You don’t have to punish yourself in crazy cold or the dark early mornings, but the November Project is all about giving yourself the gift of time to take care of your wellness. Learn from an educator who not only makes it happen for herself, but for the hundreds now in the November Project crew.
