Kids love video games... and can learn a lot about computer science and art by learning to make them! In this session we'll create a game using the free program Stencyl (downloadable online). We will look at the basics of video game design: setting up levels, creating characters and backgrounds, and programming commands. This presentation is entry-level and bring-your-own-laptop, but no previous experience with computer science or programming is needed.
