The Alberta Program of Studies encourages students to explore mathematics, but who has the time in these jam-packed courses? This educator has developed a few activities that effectively teach aspects of the exponential and logarithmic mathematics in 30-1 (but can easily be adapted to 30-2). Along with two inquiry-based activities, a group assessment using science to apply logarithm and exponential mathematical principles will be discussed.
