In this session we will briefly explore the four parts of the brain- the brainstem, the limbic system, the midbrain and the cortex. Using Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model in Education as the driving force behind this session, you will leave with a variety of activities and ideas to help regulate your students. Knowing how the brain works and what you can do when students get stuck will give you a whole new way of viewing your students. Throughout this session you will learn the importance of Regulate-Relate-Reason so come prepared to get regulated yourself!
