Genius Hour: learn how to empower your students to explore their own passions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Genius Hour is an opportunity for students to choose something they want to learn about. Regardless of what they study or build, they meet both ELA and Social outcomes in the process. In this session you will receive a more expansive overview of what Genius Hour is and how it is implemented. We will explain the structure of the unit we created, the results based on our own experiences, and show you how it directly aligns with LA and Social curricular outcomes. You will also leave with a link to a google folder with a ready-made Genius Hour unit (based on LA8 and SS8 outcomes, which could easily be adjusted to fit other grades levels) that you can incorporate into your own classroom.
