Feedback form is now closed.
This session will highlight an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to establishing and explaining the close relationship between music and literature. Using the novel The Cellist of Sarajevo as our initial text, we will take you through a lesson which uses musical form and structure to encourage stylistic writing within the ELA classroom. Drawing on well-known musical compositions or selections, we will demonstrate the parallels between the two disciplines and how they can inform one another, providing students with a classroom experience that encompasses multiple learning styles.
