This workshop will have participants experiencing a suite of inspiring activity ideas to do with their students and become familiar with foundational Earth science knowledge. Teachers will observe and classify the properties of minerals related to their use, familiarize themselves with the rock cycle, water cycle, internal structure of the Earth, and discover fossils; all through hands-on learning! A wealth of information will be shared to inspire teachers in exploring new ways to engage and intrigue their students about Earth sciences and to raise awareness of the vital roles that rocks and minerals play in our daily lives. Teachers will leave with a concrete plan about implementing the resource in the classroom.
