One of the biggest struggles with young writers is their refusal to plan. This unit is a sure-fire way to get kids to get kids to fully plan characters, settings, and plots before writing. The plans are reusable so the students can write adventures and mysteries, as well as graphic novels. We will do a scaled-down version of the unit in this workshop, showing examples from the classroom. Come prepared to work on something you can use Monday morning.
