I love working with children and I have a passion to increase awareness of issues impacting children's ability to learn and be successful. In 2017, I completed my Masters degree in Educational Research to improve my understanding of how to support teachers and students. I was very excited to present a session on the Stress Response at the NCTCA convention in February of 2018 and again at this year's conference on the different types of anxiety. I hope to continue to provide additional PD sessions on the affects of poverty, abuse and neglect and how these may present within our classrooms. I would eventually like to be able to provide consulting services to teachers by giving hands on strategies to help improve student self-efficacy and teacher knowledge. I feel if we can combine our efforts to implement societal change that we can create an enormous impact to a number of rising issues that are negatively impacting student learning and success.
